I've met many different dogs over the years, but I have a knack for the out-of-control ones. The ones with many bad behaviors or "uncontrollable" behaviors.
Their owners either say "I don't know what I am doing/what to do", "I've tried everything", or "I've had dogs before, but none of them were like this one."
The common thing I have seen is that there is a breakdown in the communication somewhere and oftentimes more than half of that weight lies with us dog owners.
Once we "clean up our side of the street," we will start having a much more well-behaved dog.

I’ve not met a dog I can’t help.
Now you may be feeling helpless at this point.

Yeah, sure Susan, you haven’t met a dog you can’t help, but you haven’t met my dog.

And I know that every dog has their own unique personality, but the way their brains function is the same. How we form relationships with them is the same.
Milo’s mom was feeling hopeless prior to working with us. She had tried so many different things and nothing was working for Milo. She felt as though there was no help for him and that he could not be trained. After working with us, look what she had to say about him!
“His energy level was always a ten. He was constantly mischievous, obnoxious, and exhausting. We loved him, but we didn’t always like him. Our anxiety was high because he would bolt out the door and take off running any chance he could get and we were terrified he’d be hit by a car or get lost and not come back. I was at the end of my rope. Now, he is so much more manageable! He’s calmer, listens, and hasn’t “made a break for it” since. It definitely needs consistent maintenance, but he is an entirely different dog now. I couldn’t be more thankful that Susan was recommended to me. I would definitely do it again and recommend her to anyone who is struggling. I needed as much training as he did and it’s been life changing. Everyone tells me what a well-behaved dog he is and that I should train theirs….but the secret is Susan!”
